Intentions
This is a 2 year Pilot Project for the residency to come. The aim is to establish a new AiR locality with a large space for working and our own housing.
This year we will work hard in order to establish good connections. We will show and communicate your art to the people in this region, and give international artists a beautiful experience, inspiration and fruitfull working prosesses, in the exciting island of Kjerringøy.
Bodø will be European Capital of Culture 2024 and Kjerringøy Art Base Camp with the AiR program is included in their program ( https://bodo2024.no/en/ )

Accommodation
We have available a typical Northern Norwegian house with 3 bedrooms on the first floor.
Ground floor; entrance, hall, a big living room, kitchen and bathroom/toilet with washing machine.

We anticipate that artists will be inspired by the ethos of the Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale and interact with the natural environment.

We have agreements for use of a spacious outdoor area in Nevelsfjord where you can make physical work in and with nature.
Workshop facilities are being developed, there are possibilities at our farm and nearby, we have a graphic press, welding equipment, electric and handheld tools, and are currently in the process of installing a ceramics kiln and studio.
