Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale was established in 2007 by Ane Øverås when she moved to Kjerringøy from Oslo. Øverås holds a MFA in fine art from Bretagne, France and have exhibited nationally and internationally with sculpture and land art. She has also been working with special effects and set design in film and theater, which is what brought her to Kjerringøy with the film "I am Dina" in 2000.
